  • update on blogging / update: inward distress and outward opportunity

I've not blogged here for quite some time. Since last fall, I had been double posting both here and on my WordPress.com site (http://zechariah821.wordpress.com). To explain, I would first post a blog here on this site on Xanga, and then I would copy that post over to my WordPress site (which is a copy of this site, except I couldn't get the same tent of meeting name, hence the name Zechariah821, named after the Scripture:

Zechariah 8:21  The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, ‘Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the LORD and to seek the LORD of hosts; I myself am going.’ 22  Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the LORD.)

But now, in lieu of double posting and in the interest of simplifying and streamlining things, so long as I have my account paid here (through October 2014, I believe), I'll be blogging on my Zechariah821 site at WordPress.com, and then I'll come over here and post a link to those posts. Along with many Xangans, I had been hoping Xanga would make a go of things, so my decision comes as there's been very little activity in terms of site improvement here on Xanga – well over 6 months after the transition to Xanga 2.0.

If you've not already done so, and you'd like to follow my Zechariah821 blog, you are more than welcome to do so. Just click here to visit the blog, and you'll find options to sign up for emails and RSS feeds on the left-hand side of the blog; or, if you're already on WordPress.com, you can opt to follow me there.

Anyhow, I've included below a link to my latest update on Zechariah821, which explains some of what I've been up to and why I've not posted lately... (BTW:  If you follow my other blog on Xanga ~ naphtali-deer  you've already read some about this... please see my post here.)

    Here's a little snippet...

Over these past few years, given my sinful propensity to impetuousness and impatience, I have striven not to rush forward, but have sought to be very cautious as to how to I might proceed to express the zeal God has granted me, that it might be given outlet in a God-directed and God-honoring manner. And, all the while, my inward distress and groanings over the current state of the Bride of Christ have continued to intensify ~ Jeremiah 9:1-2.

And now, over the past few months, God has graciously presented an outward opportunity to work publicly for reformation, a change for the better. Just as Jesus came to the temple and brought the Biblical plumb line to bear: “It is written,” I have been privileged to do likewise...

    Psalm 80:
14 Turn again, O God of hosts!
Look down from heaven, and see; have regard for this vine,
15 the stock that your right hand planted,
and for the son whom you made strong for yourself.

Yours in Christ, for the reforming and reviving of His Church,

"he called it the tent of meeting..."

I am burdened to pray to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the reformation and reviving of Christ's church.

The phrase tent of meeting comes from Exodus 33:7: Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.

This site is devoted to God first and foremost. In all that is done here, my prayer is that God is glorified and His Name magnified and Christ and Him crucified is lifted up so He might be preeminent and God might receive all the praise, honor and glory due His Holy Name. All who have come to a saving knowledge of our Father by grace through faith in the all-sufficient sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are welcome to enter this tent of meeting to seek the Lord.

This blog is a place for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to come and seek God's face for revival. My intention is for this tent of meeting to be a holy place where we can enter into PRAYER together to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit leads you, please enter into prayer either here (think of "comments" as prayers) or on your own.

Habakkuk 3:2 O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
