  • And in the morning . . . Lord, teach us to pray

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up. Psalm 5:3
    .

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. Mark 1:35.

Jesus, when we rise in the morning may the words

"Abba, Father" be our tongues as they were on Yours,

Lord, our spirits are willing but our flesh is weak.

And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. Luke 11:1.

    Lord, teach us to pray,

we cannot know the Father but by You,

    Lord, teach us to pray,

we cannot speak a word but by Your Spirit,

    Lord, teach us to pray,

    we don't know how,

    Lord, teach us to pray.

You who are seated at the Father's right hand interceding for us.

    Lord, teach us to pray,

    we love You,

    Lord, teach us to pray,

so we might magnify You, our blessed Redeemer,

    Lord, teach us to pray,

so we might know the intimate communion You had with our Father,

    Lord, teach us to pray

for You alone are our breath,

    Lord, teach us to pray,

for You alone are our life,

    Lord, teach us to pray,

for You alone shed the blood

that brings us to the Father's throne,

    Lord, teach us to pray,

so we might know the intimate communion You have with the Father,

    Amen.

(If you have not already done so, please read this if you would join in prayer. Thank you!)

  • i'm really feeling this conviction as well. that we are needing to pray for our church family especially right now. people are downtrodden and discouraged. many Christians are hardly recognizable as such, or they are recognized but their hearts are so cold, or they are apathetic or turning others off to Christ with their lack of compassion.  we need right hearts with God. we need to mediate on His word. eat spiritual meat, not just milk.  yes, we are in need of a restoration, renewal and revival. praying for purification of our hearts, souls, minds/attitudes. that we get away from busyness and idleness but have the right Christ-centered balance. that we fear not and will not be anxious, but fully trust in the Lord and find peace in Him alone, primarily.  that we keep our eyes fixed upon Jesus first; so that everything else will fall into place.

yes, Im praying right now for this site. that it will bless and encourage, strengthen, guide, revive, and build up others in Christ Jesus' name. amen.

"he called it the tent of meeting..."

I am burdened to pray to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the reformation and reviving of Christ's church.

The phrase tent of meeting comes from Exodus 33:7: Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.

This site is devoted to God first and foremost. In all that is done here, my prayer is that God is glorified and His Name magnified and Christ and Him crucified is lifted up so He might be preeminent and God might receive all the praise, honor and glory due His Holy Name. All who have come to a saving knowledge of our Father by grace through faith in the all-sufficient sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are welcome to enter this tent of meeting to seek the Lord.

This blog is a place for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to come and seek God's face for revival. My intention is for this tent of meeting to be a holy place where we can enter into PRAYER together to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit leads you, please enter into prayer either here (think of "comments" as prayers) or on your own.

Habakkuk 3:2 O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
