  • our FATHER

In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins...13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. I John 5:9-10, 13-14.

How deep the Father's love for us, how vast beyond all measure
That he should give his only son, to make a wretch his treasure
How great the pain of searing loss, the Father turned his face away
As wounds which mar the chosen one, bring many sons to glory

Behold the man upon a cross, my sin upon his shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held him there until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life; I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything: no gifts, no power, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ; his death and resurrection
Why should I gain from his reward? I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart: his wounds have paid my ransom

    Thank You, Father,
    for loving us first

    Thank You, Jesus Christ,
    for dying for the ungodly

    Thank You, Father,
for sending Your Son to die for us,
    for the ungodly

    Thank You, Father,
for sending Your Son to die for us
while we were weak and without strength

    Thank You, Father,
for sending Your Son to die for us
    while we were still sinners

    Thank You, Father,
    for justifying us
    by His blood

    Thank You, Father,
    for reconciling us to You
through the death of Your Son

we rejoice in You through our Lord Jesus Christ,
    for it is through Him
we have now received the reconciliation

Father, we rejoice in You through our Lord Jesus Christ
    for it is through Him
we have now received the Spirit of adoption

    Thank You, Father,
    for it is through Him
we can now cry out to you, "Abba, Father, thank You"

Reflect on the deepness of the Father's love shown to you through His Son.
As His Spirit leads you, please bring your prayers to our Father's throne.

  • Father, send Your Holy Spirit to enable us to treat those outside the fold with the kind of "agape" love You approve of. For "there is no difference for all have sinned and fall short" of Your glory. Enable us to be "real" the way You define "real" for You warned the Pharisees that the prostitutes and tax collectors would get in heaven ahead of them.

    In Jesus' Name

    Amen

  • Our Father, help us to become more like the father of the prodigal son. We confess we are too often like the older brother. Help us to welcome any and all prodigal sons and daughters home in the same way You have welcomed us.

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant [us] to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together [we] may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore [let us] welcome one another as Christ has welcomed [us], for the glory of God. –Romans 15:5-7 (edited to first person plural)

"he called it the tent of meeting..."

I am burdened to pray to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the reformation and reviving of Christ's church.

The phrase tent of meeting comes from Exodus 33:7: Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.

This site is devoted to God first and foremost. In all that is done here, my prayer is that God is glorified and His Name magnified and Christ and Him crucified is lifted up so He might be preeminent and God might receive all the praise, honor and glory due His Holy Name. All who have come to a saving knowledge of our Father by grace through faith in the all-sufficient sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are welcome to enter this tent of meeting to seek the Lord.

This blog is a place for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to come and seek God's face for revival. My intention is for this tent of meeting to be a holy place where we can enter into PRAYER together to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit leads you, please enter into prayer either here (think of "comments" as prayers) or on your own.

Habakkuk 3:2 O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
