  • Kingdom Day of Prayer

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come.

    –Matthew 6:9-10, KJV

And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.

    –Luke 1:30-33

So Pilate entered his headquarters again and called Jesus and said to him, Are you the King of the Jews? 34 Jesus answered, Do you say this of your own accord, or did others say it to you about me? 35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered you over to me. What have you done? 36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world. 37 Then Pilate said to him, So you are a king? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice.

    –John 18:33-37

    It has been testified somewhere,
What is man, that you are mindful of him,
or the son of man, that you care for him?
    7 You made him for a little while lower than the angels;
you have crowned him with glory and honor,
8 putting everything in subjection under his feet.

Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. 9 But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

    –Hebrews 2:5-9

    Psalm 20 (adapted)

May the Lord answer us in the day of trouble!
May the name of the God of Jacob protect us!
2 May he send us help from the sanctuary
and give us support from Zion!
3 May he remember all our offerings
and regard with favor our burnt sacrifices! Selah
4 May he grant us our heart's desire
    and fulfill all our plans!
5 May we shout for joy over his salvation,
and in the name of our God set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all our petitions!
    6 Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed;
he will answer him from his holy heaven
with the saving might of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
    8 They collapse and fall,
but we rise and stand upright.
9 O Lord, save the king!
May he answer us when we call.

    O King of kings,

Though Your Spirit we have been birthed into Your Kingdom

We forget You are our King.
We forget You are King over all the earth.
We forget all power and authority have been given to You.
We forget You are seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
We forget all things are under Your control.
We forget Your Kingdom is not from this world.
We forget Your Kingdom is not of this world.
We forget Your Kingdom will have no end.
We forget Your Kingdom is forever.
    We forget.

You alone are King of all the earth.
You alone are King of all kings.
You alone are Lord of all lords.

We confess we often trust in earthly kings to protect us and send us help.
We confess we often trust in chariots and horses.

Forgive us, O King of kings!

Earthly kings will collapse and fall.
Chariots and horses will collapse and fall.
    Because You alone are King.
We will collapse and fall unless we trust in You, O King.

You alone are King of all the earth.
You alone are King of all kings.
You alone are Lord of all lords.

You are King of all the chariots and horses.

    You alone are our protector.
    You alone are our help.
    You alone are our support.

You alone are King of all the earth.
You alone are King of all kings.
You alone are Lord of all lords.

Let us cry out to You alone in the day of trouble.
You will answer when we call.

Let us cry out to You alone in the day of peace.
You will answer us when we call.

You alone are King of all the earth.
You alone are King of all kings.
You alone are Lord of all lords.

We will rise and stand upright only as we trust in You alone.

Blessed are we when we take refuge in You and You alone.
For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory forever.

You alone are King of all the earth.
You alone are King of all kings.
You alone are Lord of all lords.

...Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.

To the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.
    –Jude 25

    Amen.

    As His Spirit leads you...
Come prayerfully into the King's presence and confess how you have not relied on Him alone,
Ascribe to Him all praise, honor and glory which is due Him for He alone is King.

    and amen.

(i'm sorry for accidentally deleting this Karen).

  • Father, forgive us for forgetting that we are only strangers here, and this planet is not our permanent home. Forgive us for not putting You first, and for the times we've acted as if things have us.

    In Jesus' Name

    Amen

"he called it the tent of meeting..."

I am burdened to pray to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the reformation and reviving of Christ's church.

The phrase tent of meeting comes from Exodus 33:7: Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.

This site is devoted to God first and foremost. In all that is done here, my prayer is that God is glorified and His Name magnified and Christ and Him crucified is lifted up so He might be preeminent and God might receive all the praise, honor and glory due His Holy Name. All who have come to a saving knowledge of our Father by grace through faith in the all-sufficient sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are welcome to enter this tent of meeting to seek the Lord.

This blog is a place for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to come and seek God's face for revival. My intention is for this tent of meeting to be a holy place where we can enter into PRAYER together to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit leads you, please enter into prayer either here (think of "comments" as prayers) or on your own.

Habakkuk 3:2 O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
