Who is our Master?
Please read Genesis 24, Matthew 19:16-30 and Romans 6:1-7:6.
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.O God, our Gracious and Merciful Redeemer,
Our every thought is to be of You.
Our every action is to be for You.
Our every affection is to be for You.
Our every action is to be for You.
Our every word is to be spoken for You.We look at Abraham's servant.
His every thought was of his master.
His every intention was for his master.
His every affection was for his master.
His every action was for his master.
His every word was spoken for his master. We look at ourselves...
Is our every thought of our Master?
Is our every intention for our Master?
Is our every affection for our Master?
Is our every action for our Master?
Is our every word spoken for our Master? We look at Your sovereign grace poured out on us...
Shouldn't our every thought be of You?
Shouldn't our every action be for You?
Shouldn't our every affection to be for You?
Shouldn't our every action be for You?
Shouldn't our every word be spoken for You?Who is our Master?
Ought it not be You, O gracious and merciful God who bought us with His Son's precious blood?Who is our Master?
You have told us we cannot serve two masters.Who is our Master?
We call You "Lord, Lord," but often do not do what You say.Who is our Master?
What do we still lack?Who is our Master?
What masters us?Who is our Master?
The one to whom we present ourselves as slaves to obey.Who is our Master?
To whom are we presenting ourselves as slaves?Who is our Master?
Ought it not be You, O gracious and merciful God who bought us with Your Son's precious blood? With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Through Jesus Christ, You have loosed our bonds.
We are no longer our own, we are the people of God.
We are Your purchased possession.
We are no longer our own, we are Your servants.
We are no longer to serve any other master but You.As we have been baptized into Christ, we have been baptized into His death.
As we have been baptized into Christ, we have been baptized into His life.We are to be no longer slaves of sin and dead to You.
We are to be slaves of Yours and dead to sin.If we present ourselves to sin, we are slaves to sin.
If we present ourselves to You, we are slaves to You.If we present ourselves to sin, we bear fruit to death.
If we present ourselves to You, we bear fruit to You.Help us to reckon ourselves to be dead indeed to sin but alive to You in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Master us, O Lord and Master, so we might willingly present ourselves as slaves to You, our rightful Master.May we no longer present ourselves as slaves of uncleanness to sin for fruit to death.
May we now present ourselves as slaves of righteousness to You for fruit to holiness. With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
May our every thought be of You, O Master.
May our every intention be for You, O Master.
May our every affection be for You, O Master.
May our every action be for You, O Master.
May our every word be spoken for You, O Master. All for You, O Master.
Always for You, O Master.
Everyday, O Master.
Only for You, O Master. With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.Prayerfully reflect on how He is not Master in your life.
May the Spirit of truth lead each of us now.
