  • "They cried out all the more." Will we do the same?

Encouragement today from God's Word to persevere in prayer for revival and not faint...

    Matthew 20
29 And as they went out of Jericho, a great crowd followed him.
30 And behold, there were two blind men sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!
31 The crowd rebuked them, telling them to be silent, but they cried out all the more, Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!
32 And stopping, Jesus called them and said, What do you want me to do for you?
33 They said to him, Lord, let our eyes be opened.
34 And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him.

    Lord Jesus Christ,

We come to You and pray for You to rend the heavens and come down and revive us and revive Your Church. We are like those two blind men sitting by the roadside who cried, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!"

Will we persevere in prayer? Will You find faith on the earth? We will faint and lose heart? Will we cry out all the more, or will we quit praying?

"They cried out all the more."
    Will we do the same?

Let us cry out to Him all the more.
Let us continue to enter the Holiest with boldness by the blood of Jesus.
Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!
Lord, have mercy on Your Church, our Father and our Builder!
Lord, have mercy on Your Church, our Savior and our chief Cornerstone!
Lord, have mercy on us, come down to us and breathe into us Your Spirit once more!

We sit by the roadside, we sit outside the camp, we come to You here at this tent of meeting. We cry the cry You have put into our hearts, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!"

We sit by the roadside, we hear the rebukes of many in the organized church who tell us to be silent. Some there say we have no need to pray for revival, but they have a name that they are alive but they are dead. They see no need to ask for Your Holy Spirit. They see no need to pray for Your Spirit's reviving breath. We grieve for them and pray for them. In Your merciful kindness You have shown us we are dead. Therefore we cry out to You. We must cry out all the more to You the cry You have put into our hearts, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!" Strengthen our hearts, intensify our cries to You. May we not faint but continue lifting up holy hands to You.

We sit by the roadside, we hear the rebukes of many in the organized church who tell us to be silent. Some there say we have no need to pray for revival. They are lukewarm. They think they have all they need. They say they are rich. They do not see they are miserable, poor, blind and naked. They see no need to ask for Your Holy Spirit. They see no need to pray for Your Spirit's revival fire. We grieve for them and pray for them. In Your merciful kindness You have shown us we are poor in spirit and our fire and light is faint and nearly extinguished. Therefore we must cry out all the more the cry You have put into our hearts, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!" Strengthen our hearts, intensify our cries to You. May we not faint but continue lifting up holy hands to You.

We sit by the roadside, we hear the rebukes in our own hearts telling us to be silent. The lies that tell us we have no need to pray for revival. Lies that tell us we have no need to ask for Your Holy Spirit. Lies that tell us the church is alive. Lies that tell us we are rich. Lies that tell us our prayers won't make a difference. Let us fight those lies of the devil with the truth of Your Word. Open our eyes so we might see Your Church as You see her. We are in ruins. Our bones are very dry. Who can help? Who can deliver us? Certainly not men. We must go back to You. We must cry out to You. You alone have the breath of Life and the words of Life. You are our Life. You alone breathed life into us and birthed us into Your family. We are Your new creation. You alone can send reviving fire, light, life and breath into us once more by Your Holy Spirit. Therefore we must cry out all the more the cry You have put into our hearts, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!" Strengthen our hearts, intensify our cries to You. May we not faint but continue lifting up holy hands to You.

Will we persevere in prayer? Will You find faith on the earth? We will faint and lose heart? Will we cry out all the more or will we quit praying?

"They cried out all the more."
    Will we do the same?

Let us cry out to Him all the more.
Let us continue to enter the Holiest with boldness by the blood of Jesus.
Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!
Lord, have mercy on Your Church, our Father and our Builder!
Lord, have mercy on Your Church, our Savior and our chief Cornerstone!
Lord, have mercy on us, come down to us and breathe into us Your Spirit once more!!

Luke 18:7: And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night?, Will he delay long over them? 8 I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?

Please add your prayers below as His Spirit leads you.

"he called it the tent of meeting..."

I am burdened to pray to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the reformation and reviving of Christ's church.

The phrase tent of meeting comes from Exodus 33:7: Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.

This site is devoted to God first and foremost. In all that is done here, my prayer is that God is glorified and His Name magnified and Christ and Him crucified is lifted up so He might be preeminent and God might receive all the praise, honor and glory due His Holy Name. All who have come to a saving knowledge of our Father by grace through faith in the all-sufficient sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are welcome to enter this tent of meeting to seek the Lord.

This blog is a place for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to come and seek God's face for revival. My intention is for this tent of meeting to be a holy place where we can enter into PRAYER together to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit leads you, please enter into prayer either here (think of "comments" as prayers) or on your own.

Habakkuk 3:2 O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
