  • Be merciful to us, faithful God (II Timothy 2:1-13)

    II Timothy 2:1 You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, 2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

    3 Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
    4 No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.
    5 An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.
    6 It is the hard-working farmer who ought to have the first share of the crops.
    7 Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.

    8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound!

    10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

    11 The saying is trustworthy, for:

    If we have died with him, we will also live with him;
    12 if we endure, we will also reign with him;
    if we deny him, he also will deny us;
    13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful—
    for he cannot deny himself.

    Faithful sovereign God,

    As we share in suffering as good soldiers of Jesus Christ,
    we confess we are tempted to be faithless.
    Forgive us for Jesus' sake,
    Be merciful to us, faithful God,
    may we

    Be strengthened by the grace in Christ Jesus
    Remember Jesus Christ risen from the dead
    Remember the elect chosen in Christ
    Remember the word of God is not bound
    Remember Jesus Christ
    who was not held by death but lives today,
    who sits at the right hand of the Father intercedes for us,
    who dwells in us to strengthen us to be faithful

    Faithful sovereign God,

    As we aim not to be entangled with the world's pursuits,
    we confess we are tempted to be faithless.

"he called it the tent of meeting..."

I am burdened to pray to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the reformation and reviving of Christ's church.

The phrase tent of meeting comes from Exodus 33:7: Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.

This site is devoted to God first and foremost. In all that is done here, my prayer is that God is glorified and His Name magnified and Christ and Him crucified is lifted up so He might be preeminent and God might receive all the praise, honor and glory due His Holy Name. All who have come to a saving knowledge of our Father by grace through faith in the all-sufficient sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are welcome to enter this tent of meeting to seek the Lord.

This blog is a place for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to come and seek God's face for revival. My intention is for this tent of meeting to be a holy place where we can enter into PRAYER together to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit leads you, please enter into prayer either here (think of "comments" as prayers) or on your own.

Habakkuk 3:2 O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
