  • He continues forever - may we continue in intercession

    Hebrews 7:23 The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, 24 but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. 25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

    Holy and blessed Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ.

    We praise You that You are our great high priest who continues forever!

    Praise You that You are able to save to the uttermost all who draw to God, Your Father, through You. We have drawn to God the Father through You. There is no other way to the Father but by You. Praise You for sending Your Spirit to us so we might have the power to become children of God, joint-heirs with You. Praise You that You are able to save us to the uttermost! Our place in heaven is sure and steadfast because You are sure and steadfast. We are no sure and steadfast. Our place in heaven is sure and guaranteed because You are our surety and guarantor! Praise You that You ever live to make intercession for all of us! Amen.

    We look at Your faithfulness, we look at Your continuing priesthood, we see how You continue forever in prayer for us!

    We marvel as we look...

    We bow as we look...

    We look at our faithlessness, we look at our stops and starts, we see how we have not continued in prayer with You!

    You continue forever!
    Strengthen us, O Lord Jesus, our continuing great high priest, to continue in intercession!

    We confess we have been unfaithful, even as You have continued to be faithful to us! (Thank God You have been faithful to us and for us!)

    You continue forever!
    Strengthen us, O Lord Jesus, our continuing great high priest, to continue in intercession!

    We come and ask You to forgive our unfaithfulness. Often our spirits are willing but our flesh is weak. Strengthen us. There are other times when our spirits have not been willing. We ask that You put a willing heart in us to do Your will. Soften our hard hearts. Make them hot and on fire for You and to do Your will. We have been saved from hell to serve You and to serve alongside You in Your mission to glorify Your Father by taking Your Gospel to the ends of the earth. A portion of that mission is the ministry of prayer. You are our example and our power in this. O, Lord Jesus, send Your Holy Spirit again on us. May He come on us, fall on us, and circumcise our uncircumcised hearts and soften our hard hearts so we might delight to do Your will here. Our hearts are desperately wicked, even though they are Yours, we continue to fight daily against our flesh. Help us to put aside our earthly desires and to fight temptation and to continue in prayer along with You for Your people. Our efforts here must be bathed and immersed in continuing prayer for boldness and assurance and for hearts to be opened to receive with gladness the seed of Your saving Gospel.

    You come daily, no continually, never ceasing, with Your people, with us, on Your heart, the same way the high priests would enter the tabernacle and the temple wearing the breastplate with the twelve jewels, each engraved with the name of one of the tribes. O precious Savior, the people of God, all the people of God, are close to Your heart. They are Your sheep. Not one of them is missing. Give us a greater heart for Your people, for Your flock. Burden us for Your people, for Your Church. The one sheep is as important as the ninety-nine. If we are not praying, who will be? We are Your royal priesthood. This is part of our calling as children of God. Give us Your shepherd priestly heart to carry them regularly to You and along with You in prayer in Your sanctuary, the true sanctuary in heaven. Your blood and body have been given so we might enter there. May we not pray merely for our own needs (though we are told to do that), but let us continue in intercessory prayer for Your people throughout the world. We look forward to the day we will see You there awaiting us. But until then strengthen us to continue in intercession along with You for the people of God.

    and then please add your prayers here as He leads you.

  • Lord, we sure want Your Spirit filling us for Your service. You are just the most wonderful and only God in the universe. Thanks for loving sinners like those who come to the Internet. Touch their hearts. amen

tent_of_meeting

"he called it the tent of meeting..."

I am burdened to pray to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the reformation and reviving of Christ's church.

The phrase tent of meeting comes from Exodus 33:7: Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp.

This site is devoted to God first and foremost. In all that is done here, my prayer is that God is glorified and His Name magnified and Christ and Him crucified is lifted up so He might be preeminent and God might receive all the praise, honor and glory due His Holy Name. All who have come to a saving knowledge of our Father by grace through faith in the all-sufficient sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are welcome to enter this tent of meeting to seek the Lord.

This blog is a place for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to come and seek God's face for revival. My intention is for this tent of meeting to be a holy place where we can enter into PRAYER together to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, as the Holy Spirit leads you, please enter into prayer either here (think of "comments" as prayers) or on your own.

Habakkuk 3:2 O LORD, I have heard the report of you, and your work, O LORD, do I fear. In the midst of the years revive it; in the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
