Keep us for You are the God who keeps covenant & steadfast love with us (Daniel 9:1-3)
A few days ago I posted an encouragement for us to continue on praying for revival based on Daniel 9. I'd like to have us look back there again today at the first verses of the chapter.
Daniel 9:
1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, by descent a Mede, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans— 2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, perceived in the books the number of years that, according to the word of the LORD to Jeremiah the prophet, must pass before the end of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years.
3 Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes. 4 I prayed to the LORD my God and made confession, saying, “O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments...Lord God, You are the God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake,
Keep us.
Keep us looking back to You and Your Word to encourage us that You keep covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake.
Keep us looking back to You and Your Word to encourage us that even in the midst of this exile, You keep covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake.
Keep us looking back to You and Your Word to encourage us that You are our Keeper because You keep covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake.
Psalm 121
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD is your keeper;
the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
8 The LORD will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore.Keep us proclaiming Your great covenant and steadfast love with us in Jesus Christ.
Psalm 145
14 The LORD upholds all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
16 You open your hand;
you satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The LORD is righteous in all his ways
and kind in all his works.
18 The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him;
he also hears their cry and saves them.
20 The LORD preserves all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD,
and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.Keep us humbled and bowed before You, fully aware we deserve nothing from Your hand, yet we know You keep covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake.
Keep us looking to You and Your face in prayer for You keep covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake.
Keep looking upon us, uphold us and satisfy us for You keep covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake.
Keep looking upon us, hear our cries, draw near and save us for You keep covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake.
Keep us speaking Your praises for You keep covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake.
Keep keeping us, for we love You.
Keep us, for we know we have only come to love You because You chose us and loved us first, through Your covenant and steadfast love with us in Jesus Christ.
I John 4:10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.Keep us, for we are unable to keep ourselves except through Your covenant and steadfast love with us in Jesus Christ.
John 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.Keep us keeping Your commandments through Your resurrection life given to us through Your Holy Spirit, Your gift to us through Your covenant and steadfast love with us in Jesus Christ.
Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.Keep us holy, keep us wholly – wholly to Your glory alone.
Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.Keep us.
Lord God, You are the God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with us for Jesus' sake.
Please add Your prayers, praises and thanksgivings as His Holy Spirit leads you.

O my Dear Lord, You are holy. You are righteous, You are worthy of all our praise.
Thank you, Lord for keeping me in Your heart and my name written on Your hands. Your faithfulness toward me and to the covenant You have made are the things that remind me always that You alone are God.
It seems that I only fail You continually. Yet You never fail me. You have called me in these past few days to spend more time with You...to pour out my heart to You...to confess my sin and weakness to You. I haven't even gotten close to being in prayer long enough. I need to be in prayer every minute - praying without ceasing. Now I want to realize that You know my frame. To know that I am Your child, no matter what. I need to feel that I can pray for others - even while I am praying for Your forgiveness.
I had this thought: My jeans are not "holey" in the knees yet. But even if they hold up, I want to be wholly surrendered to You - to be holy, set apart for only You. I love You, Lord.
Amen
I had thought to delete this comment that I made earlier. It is true that I need to be in prayer much more...In fact, I almost feel as though I shouldn't be here on X/R until I get straightened out. I am leaving the previous comment for whatever good there is in it. ( Please forgive the pun "holey")
I am not going to create 'drama' by saying anything foolish, but I do need your prayers now. Please forgive my weakness when we all need to be strong in the Lord.
Our Father, that is the key right there, as @quest4god@revelife said, we all need to be strong in the Lord. In and of ourselves, we have no strength and we can do nothing. It is only when we admit we are weak that we see the beauty of Your covenant and steadfast love with us for Christ's sake alone and it is only then we can be strong in You, Lord, and through You we can do all things! We give You all the praise and exalt You for Your continuing covenant mercies, grace and love for us in Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
Father, Thank you for this forum and my friends here, especially my sister. Bless her and keep her always close to your heart. All of Your children are precious to You. Knowing that is what drew me to seek You out here. How wonderful is Your love for us! Amen.
@tent_of_meeting - I thank you for your prayer here. Your confession of weakness (the weakness of all of us included here) shows the wisdom of drawing near to the Lord. How foolish we are when we think we are strong. We become sitting ducks for the enemy...Then we have to rush right back to His arms. We are strong in Him that is true - that's the Truth.
I don't know that anyone has ever praised You enough, Lord. How precious is the Treasure that You have placed within us! I can scarcely look up because of Your great beauty. Yet I do look up because my help comes from You. Hide me in the cleft of the Rock in my time of distress and heal my heart I pray. I need You,Lord!
I thank you, Lord, for my brother @quest4god@revelife's prayer for me and His love for you and His desire to see revival in the Church. You know at the time he was praying this morning, I was struggling and was feeling quite weak. I thank You for Your persevering with me and providing abundant strength to me at just at the right time. Keep us coming back to You so we might not head down the paths of the destroyer. In You we have all we need. We all need You, Lord. Be gracious to us and remind us when we begin to forget that and begin to rest and trust in ourselves and our ability rather than resting solely on You.
Holy God, no one has ever praised You enough. Our praises are so feeble and faint and small compared to what You deserve! You are beautiful my sweet, sweet song!
@tent_of_meeting - See, we are on the same wavelength here. That is the Lord. Third Day. I was thinking of this song just the other night myself!
Lord, You are my sweet, sweet song also! O Lord, You're Beautiful! Beautiful One, I adore You! Amen!!
@quest4god@revelife -
Oh Lord, you're beautiful,
Your face is all I seek,
For when your eyes are on this child,
Your grace abounds to me.
How I love to sing to You Lord. You've put a new song in my heart. The other day when I was finished talking/praying, I found myself humming a song that I don't know. I was making it up as I went. I hope You liked it. Amen.
@quest4god@revelife -
Lord God, we've no less days to sing Your praise than when we've first begun.
New songs flowing out from our lips for all eternity b/c You are eternal and infinite! Yet, of course, they are not new, for they all end up proclaiming: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!"
@deerlife - Dear Lord, This is all so wonderful! I am joining in singing with my sister:
"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!"
Knowing You, Jesus, knowing You....Joy unspeakable and full of glory!
@quest4god@revelife - Amen.
Yes, knowing You, Lord, not merely knowing about You. The head and the heart. Loving You with all our heart, soul, strength and mind! Increase our love for You.
