Say to those who have an anxious heart ... He WILL come & save you (Isaiah 35:1-7)
Isaiah 35:
1 The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad;
the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus;
2 it shall blossom abundantly
and rejoice with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
the majesty of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the glory of the LORD,
the majesty of our God.
3 Strengthen the weak hands,
and make firm the feeble knees.
4 Say to those who have an anxious heart,
“Be strong; fear not!
Behold, your God
will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God.
He will come and save you.”
5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened,
and the ears of the deaf unstopped;
6 then shall the lame man leap like a deer,
and the tongue of the mute sing for joy.
For waters break forth in the wilderness,
and streams in the desert;
7 the burning sand shall become a pool,
and the thirsty ground springs of water;
in the haunt of jackals, where they lie down,
the grass shall become reeds and rushes.Lord God,
We have an anxious heart today!
We have an anxious heart, anxious at the wilderness we see!
We have an anxious heart, anxious as we cry to You to come and save us!We look out upon the wilderness: the dry land and the desert!
We look out upon the wilderness: the spiritual blindness prevailing in Your Church, in us!
We look out upon the wilderness: the spiritual deafness prevailing in Your Church, in us!
We look out upon the wilderness: the spiritual lameness prevailing in Your Church, in us!
We look out upon the wilderness: the spiritual muteness prevailing in Your Church, in us!We have an anxious heart today!
We have an anxious heart, anxious at the wilderness we see!
We have an anxious heart, anxious as we cry to You to come and save us!Will You look down upon this wilderness!
Will You look down upon us here in this wilderness!
Will You look down upon us, we are a wilderness!We have an anxious heart today!
We have an anxious heart, anxious at the wilderness we see!
We have an anxious heart, anxious as we cry to You to come and save us!See our hands. Our hands are weak.
See our knees. Our knees are feeble.
See our hearts. Our hearts are anxious.In the midst of our weakness,
In the midst of our feebleness,
In the midst of our anxiety,Holy Spirit, give us ears to hear Your sure words to us:
“Be strong; fear not!
Behold, your God
will come with vengeance,
with the recompense of God."Everlasting Strength, come to us, come and save us!
Prince of Peace, come to us, come and save us!Psalm 102:19 that he looked down from his holy height;
from heaven the LORD looked at the earth,
20 to hear the groans of the prisoners,
to set free those who were doomed to die,
21 that they may declare in Zion the name of the LORD...Look down from Your holy height and come and save us!
Look down from Your holy height and hear us and set us free!
Look down from Your holy height and send us life for apart from You we have no life!
Look down from Your holy height and send us breath so we might declare Your name, the name of the LORD!We are Your people because Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, suffered and died in our place.
Your only begotten Son withstood Your vengeance in our place and was the recompense for our sin.
For His sake, be merciful and gracious and look down upon us, come down and save us for we are Your sheep redeemed by the covenant through His precious blood!Living Water, flow!
Living Water, flow, make the wilderness and dry land glad!
Living Water, flow, make the desert rejoice and blossom and blossom abundantly!
Living Water, flow, make the desert rejoice with joy and singing!
Living Water, flow, make the burning sand a pool!
Living Water, flow, make the thirsty ground springs of water!
Living Water, flow, show us Your glory!
Living Water, flow, show us Your majesty!
Living Water, flow, open the blind eyes!
Living Water, flow, unstop the deaf ears!
Living Water, flow, make the lame leap!
Living Water, flow, make the mute tongue sing!

Everlasting Strength, come to us, come and save us!
Prince of Peace, come to us, come and save us!
O Lord, You are our strength and song! Only You have the Words of Life!
I confess that I have at times begun to despair because there seems not to be
anyone who sees the desolation about us. And then I begin to realize that the
desolation also lies within my heart. Continue Your healing and forming this
new heart in me so that I can see Your hand in all of this and rely fully on You.
